Over the past several years, the Mariners have made it a priority to provide more economic opportunities in the Sodo neighborhood and assist with helping the community continue to evolve and prosper. Just last year, the Mariners opened Hatback Bar & Grille and Steelheads Alley, part of The Boxyard development, which includes Victory Hall, and a Mariners team store.

Continuing their commitment to improve the neighborhood and the fan experience at and around T-Mobile Park, the Mariners announced a new app-based rideshare lot set to open Saturday, July 8 — just in time for All-Star Week.

The Mariners rideshare lot, built in partnership with the Washington State Major League Baseball Public Facility District (PFD), will be located at 3rd Avenue between Holgate and Royal Brougham. This new lot will help elevate the fan experience by making it quicker and easier for those looking to be dropped off or leave the ballpark after a game concludes. Fans leaving the game after the 7th inning will be picked up at the Mariners rideshare lot or one of the convenient designated pickup locations identified on the rideshare company’s app. There will be signs located along the pathways to the new pickup locations, as well as event staff to help provide directions for fans.

“The PFD is committed to working with the Mariners to create an exceptional fan experience. We’re excited to partner with the Club on this important neighborhood improvement project that will also make it more convenient for fans to get to and from a game.” said PFD Board Chair Carol Nelson.

“We’re excited to partner with the PFD to offer a more seamless way to get to and from T-Mobile Park, not just during All-Star Week, but every home game moving forward. We’re constantly looking for ways to enhance the fan experience, both inside and outside the ballpark, and hope this will encourage even more people to come down to Sodo to grab a bite, enjoy a game and spend time with family and friends,” said Fred Rivera, Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President.
