Mariners Recall RHP Collin Snider from Triple-A Tacoma
RHP Bryan Woo placed on 15-day Injured List
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Justin Hollander announced today the following roster moves:
· Collin Snider, RHP, recalled from Triple-A Tacoma.
· Bryan Woo, RHP, placed on 15-day Injured List (right hamstring strain).
Snider, 28, is making his third stint in the Majors with Seattle this season. He was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on June 9 after making a pair of scoreless outings on June 7 and June 8 in his second stint.
Overall this season, the Nashville, Tennessee native has a 3.60 ERA (2 ER, 5.0 IP) with 2 walks and 5 strikeouts in 5 games with the Mariners.
The right-hander was claimed off waivers by Seattle on Feb. 6 from the Arizona Diamondbacks. In 67 Major League games (1 start) with Kansas City (2022–23) and Seattle (2024-c), Snider is 4–2 with 1 save and a 5.73 ERA (38 ER, 59.2 IP) with 30 walks and 38 strikeouts. The Nashville native was originally selected by the Royals in the 12th round of the 2017 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Vanderbilt University.
Woo, 24, left last night’s game in the 4th inning with right hamstring tightness. In 8 starts with the Mariners this season, he is 3–1 with a 1.77 ERA (8 ER, 40.2 IP) with 3 walks and 28 strikeouts. He began the season on the 15-day Injured List with right medial elbow inflammation, making 3 starts on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma prior to being activated on May 10.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound right-hander has appeared in parts of two Major League seasons with Seattle (2023-c), going 7–5 with a 3.44 ERA (49 ER, 128.1 IP), 34 walks, 121 strikeouts and a 1.04 WHIP in 26 starts.
The Oakland, California native was selected by the Mariners in the 6th round of the 2021 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Cal Poly University. He appeared in parts of 2 minor league seasons going 4–6 with a 2.88 ERA (36 ER, 112.1 IP), 34 walks and 160 strikeouts in 28 starts.
